When reading feedback about carers, the comments made often are negative as it seems that people only bother to write if they feel there is something to moan about.

I think that it is time to redress the balance as my Dad, Mr D, passed away peacefully last week and it was only because of the excellent care provided by your foundation that he was able to spend the majority of his final weeks in comfort at home (which is where he preferred to be).

In particular, I would like to thank his carer, H, who was at all times kind, considerate, prompt and most professional. Dad said that even though we were very capable, “H did things best”.

She always had a friendly chat with Dad as well as coping most admirably with his everyday care. If there was a feedback form we would have no hesitation in giving her an excellent rating … you’ve got a ‘good one’ there! If ever you need a recommendation for her don’t hesitate to ask.

Once again thank you to you all at HLC for making such a positive difference for my Dad.
